Microsoft Windows Courses
|
Microsoft Windows is the personal computer’s operating system (the hub of your computer or laptop) created by a company called Microsoft and not to be confused with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook & Access) which are the applications created by Microsoft to run on the Windows operating system. Nor should it be confused with the Mac or Apple Mac (Macintosh), created by a company called “Apple Inc.” Being rival companies, Windows and the Mac are not compatible and when purchasing software you should be aware of this and check the system requirements very carefully. All of this information and more is covered on our 'Computers Made Easy' course.
The current version is Microsoft Windows 7 (Business, Home & Ultimate, which are all very similar). This was released in 2010. Still very popular in business, Microsoft Windows XP was released on 1st October 2001. Prior to that was Windows 2000, which many firms today are still using.
